The shifting diagnostic sands of psychosis

A new study finds that the diagnosis initially given to  50% of study participants who had been admitted to the hospital for psychosis changed at least once during the ensuing 10 years. These shifts reflected changing symptoms over the course of life, rather than misdiagnosis.
