Dark horses of anxiety

Two recent studies turn up new clues about anxiety in obscure places. In the space between neurons, an enzyme called neuropsin converts stressful events into anxious behavior in mice; on the flipside, action at the somewhat mysterious trace amine-associated receptor can relieve anxious behavior in mice.
